Coaching is about looking forward, focusing on self-development, achieving goals and using tools to help you fulfil your potential. It is non-therapeutic and does not delve into past traumas or mental health issues.
Counselling (Therapy) looks back by addressing emotional and psychological issues, developing coping strategies and supports healing from trauma. Conditions and treatment can be a result from counselling.
In summary, life coaches guide clients toward future goals, while counsellors delve into emotional healing and mental health support. Both roles serve valuable purposes, depending on individual needs and you can read more about this here.

The first time we meet will be more of a fact find meet where we will get to know each other and then define your goals, challenges and an initial action plan.
Most importantly we will both make sure we are comfortable working with each other.

This is tailored to an individual’s needs and would depend on factors such as the length of each session as well as location.
My recommended length is no more than 60-90 minutes.
As your coach I also invest my time into pre-session work as well as post 1-1 reflection and planning - lots goes on behind the scenes!!
I am also happy to offer the opportunity to benefit from coaching packages.
